Monday Grocery Processor

Description

  • Process groceries that come in from Sunday and Monday: Richfield Coop, Whole Foods (8:30) and United Noodle (10:30) Turtle Bread (11:00) 

  • White bread/buns out for Monday Guests on side tables; Whole grain breads, desserts, cookies go into the kitchen. 

  • Sort and separate fruits, veggies, dairy, nonperishables, prepared deli items, household items.  Put out perishable items that will not last until Wednesday on side tables.  Box up sorted perishable items in sturdy boxes and put into the cooler in the kitchen and in the back.  Usually there are 4-6 large banana boxes to store in the cooler.  Meets and soups go into the freezer for later distribution or use by the kitchen.

  • Store Non perishable items, potatoes, onions, apples in the “pantry” to pull out on Wednesday

  • Clean up the area and move tables back in place and break down boxes for recycling.
