Bread Pickup & Delivery

Help transport bread donations from Asa’s Bakery to Soup for You!

Volunteers pick up frozen leftover bread, bagels, and bialys from the bakery’s walk-in freezer and deliver them to Holy Trinity for storage and future meals. Pickups are best done Thursday or Friday mornings and usually take less than an hour. Volunteers should enter through the bakery’s back door at 5011 S 34th Ave S, let staff know they are there for Soup for You!, and collect the prepared bags from the freezer. At Holy Trinity, bread is stored in the designated freezers using a utility cart from the kitchen.

Asa’s Bakery is a COVID-conscious business, so masks are required inside the building. Extra bagels or overflow bread beyond our storage needs can be dropped off at Agate’s Valiance Shelter nearby. More details:
